Auxiliary equipment
In order to minimize grain losses due to shrinkage inside Silomasters silos, based on our wide experience in post-harvest practices, Silomasters offers the following additional equipment:
Aeration Systems
Properly used, this technology allows to control the grain conditions inside the silo, thus reducing product deterioration and losses.
After an exhaustive study of the types of grain (size, composition, variety, moisture content, density, etc.) and according to the capacity of the silo, its dimensions, and the fan performance curve, the required ventilation area and airflow is calculated.
The ventilation area is formed by galvanized steel plates, perforated, to allow a homogeneous distribution of air throughout the stored volume of grain. We have plates of different widths, with different resistances, to be able to adapt the system to the load requirements of each model.We supply fans from the main European manufacturers in the industrial ventilation sector, which offer a great variety of solutions, totally adapted to the technical requirements of our customers. All products can be supplied in ATEX version.

Temperature Control System
Proper monitoring of temperature and control of potential microbiological activity will allow for quick and effective reaction before problems get out of control.
Measuring the temperature of the grains stored inside the silo is essential, since an anomalous increase in the temperature of the grain is directly related to an increase in the biological activity of fungi, insects and/or of the grains stored, all of which implies a loss of quality.
Inside the silos, temperature is measured by means of temperature probes. The probes are reinforced cables that hang from the roof of the silo and are buried by the grain. Inside these cables temperature sensors are placed.
To warranty the correct functioning of the system, Silomasters only works with first line European manufacturers, specialized in the manufacture of this type of systems.
In addition to temperature control, these systems offer the possibility of measuring the degree of humidity of the grain, the dew point under the roof, the level of filling of the silo, the biological activity by taking readings of the CO2 content, have external weather stations to automatize the functions.
Any solution is as well available as web-based system to oversee various sites at the same time.
Emptying Sweepers
The sweep augers are required to empty the residual grain cone after the gravity discharge of the silo has finished.
The sweep auger, which is fixed to the centre of the silo, turns and at the same time transports the grain to the central outlet, until the discharge is completed.
We work with the main European manufacturers, and we can supply equipment with unloading rates from 50 m3/h up to 700 m3/h. We have two versions of equipment: standard (standard) and ATEX versions.
These are available for industrial, heavy duty and agricultural applications.
The sweepers can be adapted to any of our diameters. Additionally, we have available a series of accessories that help to optimize the emptying, eliminating most of the residue that would remain between the sweeper and the ground.
Level Sensors
Silomasters supplies different models of sensors, either only to control the grain level (maximum and minimum) up to more complex systems, for an integral control of the stock. All our sensors can always be supplied in standard or ATEX version.
Grain Chilling Systems
The temperature and humidity values of the grain inside the silo must be kept under control to keep the grain intact for a long time and to protect it from the development of biological activity. To preserve the nutritional value of the grain and to keep the moisture value in the grain within the targeted value ranges, cooling is necessary. Thanks to the grain chilling systems the temperature and humidity in the silo are kept under control and grain can be stored for a long time in fresh and healthy environments.
